How Do They Work?           

RFID Wristbands contain a memory chip and a coil radio antenna which can store information such as credit card details, medical history, inmate information, as well as information regarding whether the wearer is of drinking age.

By storing this information in the memory chip and NOT printing on the band, the information stored is always safe and cannot be accessed by anyone but those with authority. The coil antenna is deactivated when the wristband is broken or cut and the band cannot be reused. This is a protective measure designed to prevent fraudulent purchasing and authorised access to restricted areas.
